July 26, 2018 Reflection on training I took a moment to reflect on professional training for Biodanza Operators, a reflection that, in reality, I have always thought about, and that I am pleased to share with you readers. By “always”, I mean since I gained the title of Biodanza Operator in 2006 at the Scuolatoro of Milan and then started my professional career facilitating groups of Biodanza. The opportunity to develop this reflection is providing me with two events that I consider particularly relevant in this phase of development of our profession: the start of the new cycle of training at the Scuolatoro in Milan and the foundation of the new Biodanza School in Madrid, both are Model Schools, a qualification that the creator of the Biodanza System, Professor Rolando Toro Araneda, wanted to only assign exclusively to the schools that propose the original Biodanza System, as he created it, and both currently belong to the BRT organism, Biodanza Rolando Toro Araneda system, and offer training for SRTA Biodanza Operators, www.biodanzarolandotoro.com The new training cycle of Scuolatoro Milano www.scuolatoro.com, will start in October 2018 and the new Biodanza School in Madrid has opened its doors in July of 2018. www.biodanzarodrigotoro.com The training offered by the two Schools, as well as by the other BRT Schools, is the most authentic, complete and in-depth professional training for becoming a Biodanza Operator; I personally experienced it with Scuolatoro Milano and, now that I play the role of president of AIPOB, the quality of our professional career is even closer to my heart. The Path offered by the BRT schools The path offered by the BRT Schools ensures first and foremost the full acquisition of professional competence that makes us able to lead groups responsibly and capably and, not least, it is a unique platform for our personal development, guiding us along a path which is also about growing one’s own person, resources and quality. Thanks to the professionalism and humanity of the staff of the Schools, the Didacts who teach, the tutors who give support, and the intense involvement of the students, people who want to become Biodanza Operators can do so at the highest level, with the maximum professional competence. Professor Rolando Toro Araneda, creator of the Biodanza System, found the quality of the operators of the System very important. He wanted those operators who proposed Biodanza all over the world, offering people a path of personal, relational and cosmic integration, to be competent in proposing the experience of the vivencia, of being full of life and of the expressions of life, and therefore in the authentically human sense, dancing the Dance of Life together with people, connecting with the positive part of each one, in order to make it grow. The Scuolatoro of Milan and the Madrid School of Biodanza, together with the other BRT Schools in the world, are realizing the legacy of Rolando Toro, a high quality training path that constructs that enriched environment that Professor Toro evoked in his most recent academic definition of Biodanza. Hereby including a concept of Neuroscience, whose innovative knowledge the genius of Rolando had been able to anticipate: “Biodanza is a system of acceleration of integrative processes at the cellular, immunological, neuroendocrine, metabolic, hormonal, cortical and existential levels, through integrating vivencia, induced in an environment enriched by music, dance, affective communication and the presence of the group “. (Biodanza, Rolando Toro, edited by Eliane Matuk, Il castello / Red editions, page 36) This was my training and my experience with Scuolatoro Milano, and this is what I propose to the groups that I conduct. Moreover I am happy to receive continuous confirmation of the validity of the training course that I attended, as well confirmation of the effectiveness of the Biodanza System as we learn it at our beloved schools and that we continue to develop thanks to the professional refresher course initiatives of AIPOB. by Silvia Signorelli, president of AIPOB
